Moxie Monday: New Week's Resolutions

Happy Monday!! I understand that most of us loathe Mondays. I used to be that person. My job was overwhelming and every Sunday night, I felt that feeling of dread and anxiety build as Monday morning drew closer. I now have a job that brings my life balance and I can enjoy my Sunday nights. I actually look forward to Mondays.
To me, a Monday is like a chance for a fresh start. I love starting to-do lists that start on a Monday. I clear any small failures from the week prior and start fresh. THIS is the week I will drink 64 oz of water per day. THIS is the week that all my meals will be prepped for. THIS is the week I will call a friend. Mondays are like weekly new years resolutions. Now some people may see that as problematic. Understandably so. New years resolutions are hardly kept. But that's EXACTLY why I love Mondays. I get to make smaller, more achievable goals to keep me focused, motivated, and full of MOXIE. When small goals are set, dopamine is released it is motivating to successfully achieving goals. It doesn't matter if the success is large/small or provides monetary value.
So.. on this Monday. I encourage you to have some MOXIE. Set some attainable, realistic goals. And attack this week.
Here are my weekly goals:
1. Drink at least a gallon of water per day.
2. Do 3 days of cardio and 3 days of resistance training.
3. Write a blog post 4 days this week
4. Eat a prepped meal for lunch each work day.
5. Complete all paperwork at work.
6. Buy wedding and baby shower gifts.
Boom. Some of these are more challenging than others. They are all achievable. They are specific with quantifiable criteria. They will bring me satisfaction and improve overall well-being if achieved.
